In the past year, I’ve experienced the profound impact of cancer firsthand. Losing my uncle to Pancreatic Cancer and witnessing a work colleague’s battle with breast cancer has ignited a fire within me.
When life throws us challenges, we all ask ourselves: What can I do to make a difference? And now, here’s my chance.
As part of the Stars of Nowra, I’m stepping onto the dance floor to raise funds for the Cancer Council Australia.
My role at Sikorsky Australia involves supporting the Royal Australian Navy through deep-level maintenance for the Romeo Helicopter platform. Each day, I mentor apprentices, oversee maintenance tasks, and contribute to keeping our aircraft mission-ready. What truly excites me about my job is the opportunity to provide the Navy with vital aircraft capability.
But beyond the hangar doors, there’s another side to me. I hope to share a glimpse of my personality through my performance.
Yes, I’ll admit—I’m a tad nervous about performing in front of an audience. But when the music starts, something magical happens. Put on some country tunes, and even my two left feet find their rhythm.
My goal? To raise $20,000—funds that will directly impact cancer patients and their families.
