Alexander Stragalinos is the vibrant, travel‑passionate owner of Jamberoo Cruise and Travel, where he designs bespoke holidays that help the local community see the world in unforgettable ways. For Alex, travel is more than logistics—it's about connection, storytelling, and being part of some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives.
This year, Alex is swapping boarding passes for dance classes as he steps onto the Stars of Wollongong stage. His motivation is deeply personal: his grandmother passed away from pancreatic cancer, and a number of close friends have faced bowel cancer in their early 30s. Taking part is both a tribute and a stand—a way to support people with a cancer diagnosis, celebrate resilience, and honour the people he loves.
If you think Alex is new to the dance floor, think again. From 15 to 18, he lived the dream as a professional dancer, performing around the world. It’s been a while since he hit the studio, but with a decades‑deep love of music (especially late‑90s and early‑00s pop royalty like Britney, Christina, the Spice Girls, and J.Lo), he’s ready to bring the energy. In fact, he’s even planning to mix the song for his performance!
Of course, the nerves are real—stepping back in front of a big crowd will do that—but with his biggest strength being that he’s actually danced before, he’s embracing the challenge with his signature mix of fun, passion, and just a little bit of chaos.
🎉 Fun Facts About Alex
He’s heading to Antarctica in January 2027—and he cannot wait.
He once travelled all the way to Japan just to see Little Mix in concert. Zero regrets.
He loves cruising… but also has a fear of open water. (A complex man!)
His dream dance partner would be Tate McRae, and if he could brand his own signature move, it would be called “The Strag.” Watch this space.
