DJ Apanui is a makeup artist, event producer, community advocate, and the creative force behind the drag persona Aria Beautiful, a character best described as Port Macquarie's most glamorous housewife, at least if you ask her. DJ has spent years across the Mid North Coast bringing people together through performance, events, and advocacy, with creativity and community at the centre of it all. Whether in front of a makeup chair, behind a microphone, or behind the scenes of a fundraiser, the mission is always the same: create spaces where people feel celebrated, connected, and completely themselves. And now, Aria is bringing all of that sparkle to the Stars of Hastings stage.

The motivation behind joining Stars of Hastings comes from DJ's experience losing his father's lung cancer in 2021. Joining Stars of Hastings is DJ's way of honouring his dad's memory, supporting families facing cancer and showing his children the importance of community, compassion and giving back.
