Axel Peck is a disability support worker and programs coordinator, known for being funny, caring and absolutely unforgettable. Whether he’s supporting participants to reach their goals, coordinating meaningful community activities, or creating inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome, Axel brings positivity and genuine heart to everything he does. His favourite part of the job? Making people feel confident, connected, and like they truly belong.
Outside of work, Axel volunteers with Nipper’s 2 Flipper’s, continuing his commitment to helping people of all abilities thrive. His passion for community shines in every interaction — he’s approachable, uplifting, and the kind of person who instantly puts others at ease.
This year, Axel is stepping onto the Stars of Wollongong – Dance for Cancer stage with three clear motivations: to honour his grandfather, who passed from bowel cancer; to raise funds for an organisation that supports countless families; and to prove that if he can put himself out there, anyone can. His message is simple: courage isn’t about being fearless — it’s about showing up anyway.
Going into the competition, Axel’s biggest strength is the unwavering support of his family, friends and clients. Their encouragement means everything and knowing they’ll be cheering from the audience gives him the fuel he needs. His biggest nerves? The crowd, the possibility of making a fool of himself, and not raising enough money — but he’s going to 'bring it' pom poms and all.

Grew up dancing to Just Dance and So Fresh CDs — so naturally, incredible choreography is pending.
His go‑to move? A mix between thinking his bum is Megan Thee Stallion‑level iconic and unapologetic shoulder‑banging.
Songs that get him instantly dancing: Gasolina and Brazilian funk artists like Pedro Sampaio.
Loves music, cars, and embracing other cultures.
His dream dance partner? Zara Larsson.
