Bart started at the New Albury Hotel in 1998 originally as the dishie. Over the years, he worked his way up by running a number of local venues, Sodens, Groove Saint and Soho Albury, to now being the Venue Manager/Licensee of Beer Deluxe Albury.
Over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry in Albury, has given Bart the front seat ride in everyone’s nightlife experience in Albury.
Being a born and bred local, Bart loves everything about the Border Region, and is looking forward to taking on his next challenge as one of our local Stars!
“I have the most amazing wife Laura and two amazing kids Arlington & Penelope. Being part of the 2020 Stars of the Border will be a challenging and rewarding experience. I pride myself in operating a venue that can give back to its community and is an active participant of it. I am here tonight to have a laugh, raise some money and make my mum smile.”

Elly BlighElly has danced at Border Danceworks for over 16 years across a range of styles including competing in regional competitions of jazz, hip hop, theatrical, modern and in ballroom styles of Latin American, new vogue and standard traveling as far as Melbourne and Canberra. Elly has taught dancing at Border Danceworks since she was 14 and it was only 2 years ago that she decided to give full time teaching a break and put herself in the dance role of teaching others and donating her time in this event as she believes it’s such a great event to raise money for a great cause. |
