My Updates

Lesson # 3

Today was a good day, not only did I learn how to pronounce the dance we are doing, I actually retained some memory from last week on how to do it! This was a huge win for me. There is so much on my plate and so many things going through my head at any one time, I was super impressed that I was able to remember some solid dance moves!

Turns out ballroom is not just about the foot work. So many places to look, so many bent knees, so many hand positions. Who knew?! They make it look so easy on Dirty Dancing.

Lesson # 2 - Sweaty Mess

Debbie and I had our second dance lesson yesterday. My legs were okay after, but my head hurt that's for sure. So many things to remember. I was expecting to re-learn dances I used to do as a kid, but no, Debbie had the GREAT idea of teaching my a new dance. I cannot even pronounce the name of the new dance, let alone do it!

After a few bogo fogos, a heel a tap a heel and bump ... we left laughing, but we were sweaty messes! Got to love the Bello humidity.

And so it begins

I had my first dance lesson with Debbie Sense last week.

I used to know Debbie in a former life, so getting reacquainted with her was a lot of fun.

We didn't do much dancing, but boy did we talk. Luckily I am a better talker than I am dancer.

This week though we are getting into it for sure!

What dance to choose: slow slow quick step, or BAM!
