Brett & Troy

Stars of Dubbo

Double the moves & double the fun!

Brett Stockings was born and bred in the Central West After spending 10 years away, Brett returned to Dubbo in 2016 and has settled on a small farm on the outskirts of town with his young family.

Brett has been known to get a little excited at functions with a dancefloor. He says he has more confidence than technique, but can usually make a crowd smile! Last time Brett took a dance lesson was 16 years ago for a debutante ball.

"I'm excited to give it a red hot crack, learn some technique, provide the crowd with some great entertainment while raising awareness and some important support to the Cancer Council of NSW & the great work that they do.Sadly, we have all been affected in some way by cancer, whilst it is a horrible disease, Dancing for the Stars Dubbo is a great chance to make the most of a bad situation and help the people that need it most & have some fun."

Troy Stanford is known amongst his friends for his slick dance moves, amazing karaoke ability. He also has a sick Ned Kelly beard. Troy has played the triangle on stage with Adam Harvey and danced passionately as a seven year old for the Peak Hill line dancing club.

He grew up in Peak Hill on a farm and now lives in Wongarbon with his wife and two beautiful kids. Troy works for Essential energy so please thank him later for your power or ask him for a discount! Haha Troy also plays soccer on the weekends for fun and injuries.

Cancer Council NSW supports a cause close to home for Troy. He lost his amazing mum Teena and best mate Jordan to Cancer within a year of one another.

Brett and Troy met through mutual friends and with a shared passion for the dancefloorthey immediately hit it off. Between the two of them expect to see plenty of lawnmowers and shopping trolleys as a hole is burned into the DF
