Britt has been a Byron Bay celebrant for four years, creating wedding ceremonies that feel effortless, fun, and true to the couple. She founded Happy Days Weddings with one simple goal: To craft ceremonies that are heartfelt, never stiff, and always a little luxe in that laid-back country way. Most weekends you’ll spot her in her Akubra, keeping weddings flowing with ease and feeling lucky to share in such special moments.

Performing and creativity were always at the heart of Britt’s childhood. Growing up in country NSW, her Nan and Pop would drive her hours to Tamworth for physie comps, while Mum, Dad, and her siblings cheered on every new routine she dreamt up that week. She also trained at the Jam Factory in Toowoomba, and at Pony Club she was that kid choreographing dances for her friends to perform at presentation nights. As a teen she moved to the Northern Territory and left dance behind - but returning to it now feels like coming home, even if, as Britt puts it, “I’m a little rusty!”

Cancer has touched Britt’s life in a very personal way. Her aunty, who’s also her best friend, faced breast cancer with incredible courage. Britt watched her lose her hair, push through the toughest days, and come out the other side stronger than ever – she is Britt’s inspiration. Her Pop, Britt's idol, wasn’t so fortunate, he passed from pancreatic cancer after a long and painful battle, but not before leaving her with some classic life lessons: Never yawn at work, always arrive ten minutes early (“if you’re on time, you’re late!”), and at 15 yrs old, he was the only one brave enough to teach her how to drive. Dancing in this event is her way of honouring them both - their spirit, their lessons, and to help ensure no family has to face cancer alone.
