We've started lessons!!
Well we've started lessons, my dance partner and teacher Kim is a legend I must say, very patient and breaking things down to the very simple for me. Looking forward to learning something very foreign to me. ha.
Well here we go!!
Well here we go, i've committed to the event, but now I have received my first donations it's got very REAL all of a sudden, now I'm scared haha. What a great cause though, we'll give it our best shot!! Thankyou especially to my Kiwi connection for your donations early
CHRIS ATKINSON….a husband, a dad of three girls, an accountant, a business partner, a golfer, an adventure racer, a mountain biker and now possibly his greatest fear….known as the accountant with two left feet!
Quite surprised, but humbled to be regarded as a community dancing star, Chris has taken up the challenge to step (or dance) outside his comfort zone (and much to the delight of his staff and friends) to compete in what can only be described as Ballina’s 2020 premier fundraising event.
Luckily for Chris his in-house dance counsel consists of - a 10 yr old live in dancing coach named Martha, a 14yr old stylist for his outfit choice named Lara and a soon to be 18yr old that may or may not speak to him over the next few months named Stella!
On a more serious note, supporting communities is an undertaking of Collins Hume Business Advisors, who have been long term advocates for improving the welfare and health of people both locally and globally. Chris’s mother in law – Rhoda has beaten two bouts of breast cancer and has been a volunteer councillor to other local ladies across the north coast. “When my knees are shaking and my heart is pounding, I’ll remember the “why” I decided to step out of my comfort zone for the longest 3 minutes of my life” Chris said of his decision.
