Over the past four years Cohen Parrish has been deeply involved in the Casino community as a teacher at St. Mary’s Primary School. It's been a wonderful journey for him, filled with building strong connections with Casino families and locals. Whether immersing himself into the excitement of events like Beef Week or Primex, or simply soaking up the lively ambiance of the local pubs on a Friday night, he truly feels like a part of this vibrant town.
When
the topic shifts to Cancer Council, his mind immediately goes to his own circle,
loved ones and friends who've faced or are still battling cancer. Their
unwavering strength and resilience in the face of adversity serves as a stark
reminder of the uphill battles so many Aussies are bravely fighting. That's why he is
super stoked and proud to team up with Cancer Council this year. His goal is
simple: to raise awareness and much-needed funds for cancer research,
prevention, and support. As he reflects on the daunting fear that accompanies
stepping onto the dance floor, he reminded that it's a mere fraction of the
courage displayed by those battling cancer.
