As a participant in Stars Dance for Cancer, my motivation runs deep. Witnessing my father’s battle with Brain Cancer and his subsequent passing has fueled my commitment to raise awareness about this devastating disease. I believe that through dance, we can shine a light on the challenges faced by cancer patients and contribute to the remarkable research efforts of Cancer Council. Beyond the dance floor, I wear many hats as the owner of The Icon in Wollongong. From being the face of the business to donning the roles of chef, barman, cleaner, and all-rounder, I pour my heart into every aspect of our establishment. My love for the business and my dedicated staff keeps me going. While my dance experience is limited to Greek School and impromptu performances in front of the mirror to Backstreet Boys or Britney Spears, I embrace my “two left feet” with enthusiasm. Here are a few lesser-known facts about me: In my downtime, I find solace in creating candles. Not only do I enjoy this creative process, but I also sell these candles to friends and family, channelling the proceeds toward charitable causes. I thrive on the thrill of poker. Having participated in major tournaments in Las Vegas, I’ve honed my skills and love the strategic game. For five years, I wore the mantle of “Prime Possum.” Now, after retiring the Possum suit, I’m ready to share my story with the world. Let’s dance for a cause and make a difference together.
