⭐ Elina Roberts-Turner ⭐
For Elina, joining Stars of Penrith is a deeply personal decision. Cancer is something that touches all of us, and supporting the Cancer Council’s vital research felt like a meaningful way to honour the people who’ve shaped her life.
In 2021, Elina lost someone who inspired her passion for the performing arts, Tara, a year above her in high school. Tara’s creativity, drive, and belief in making dreams happen left an impact that Elina still carries with her. Dancing in her memory is Elina’s way of honouring that legacy.
Elina is also dedicating her performance to her beloved Gran, Helen, who has faced cancer not once, but twice, and each time has shown extraordinary resilience. Despite years of treatment and chemotherapy, she continues to give, support, and shine brightly within her family and the Penrith community, including through her work with the Penrith Community Kitchen. Her strength, generosity, and unwavering belief in Elina’s dreams are a huge part of why Elina is stepping out of her comfort zone and onto the dance floor.
Going into the competition, Elina knows her biggest strength will be her ability to laugh at herself and give the training a red-hot go. She’s no stranger to embarrassing moments and welcomes them with humour and heart.
With determination, spirit, and the people she loves cheering her on, Elina is ready to dance boldly, joyfully, and with purpose.
