I’m Erica Trustum, I’m a Registered Nurse on the medical ward at St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Lismore.
I’m also wife to my amazing husband – with whom I share ownership rights of 3 amazing girls – and together we make up #teamtrustum. When I’m not working or running around after my kids, I enjoy playing netball & running.
I also enjoy volunteering on committees at my girl’s schools. I’ve been a “dance mum” for the past decade & I feel I have picked up a couple moves in that time – and am totally excited for this challenge and proving to my girls that I have some moves of my own.
In Dec 2018, our littlest team member, Emilia, was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. After spending months in Brisbane receiving treatment, she underwent a bone Marrow transplant in June 2019 and has been cancer free. As her parent we have decided that it's our job to give back to those charities that helped us during her journey. She still goes to Brisbane monthly for check ups with her oncologist.
We have seen the impact cancer has on family, we have experienced it first hand. No one should ever have to go through it - ever. Especially our little babes.
