Here we go!!!!
I am so excited to be on the other side of the curtain for Stars of Casino 2020!!!! I said yes to being a part of this challenge for many reasons however it comes down to a core three people who I love dearly!
I am doing this for my Mum who lost her Mother too young. I never got to meet my Grandmother who fought her battle for 14 years. She died 12 weeks before my Mum's wedding and I feel my Mother's loss as much as I feel my own for not having met her.
I am dancing for my father who had prostate cancer and who also lost a sister, my Aunty Gail, to cancer. His sadness in his loss and his fear when diagnosed hit home hard. I am grateful that he was able to overcome his cancer and that I still get to enjoy his sense of humour!!!
I am also putting the dancing shoes on for my husband Kirk who lost his Dad in 2014 after a ten year battle. This was a long and raw time of our lives and I will never forget the strength and love shown during this period of time. Kirky also lost his beautiful Aunty Gloria to pancreatic cancer last month and we are all still feeling the loss of her and her beautiful smile x
