Jane de Graaff has spent more than 20 years finding the joy in food. Now the Coffs Harbour local is bringing that same enthusiasm to a challenge that takes her well beyond the kitchen.
A food journalist, TV presenter and recipe developer, Jane is a familiar face as the resident kitchen expert on Channel Nine’s Today Show. Her work also appears in Good Food in The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, while her social media community knows her for practical recipes, kitchen experiments and a generous helping of #joyfulfood.
Jane loves uncovering a beautiful food story and encouraging people to have a go. For Stars of Coffs Coast, she’ll be taking her own advice, with hopes of mastering one big, show-stopping move.
Her reason for dancing is her mum, who died from ovarian cancer. Jane remembers her life as full of joy and beauty, and knows she would have loved an event built around laughter, dancing and helping others.
Jane describes herself as a terrible dancer, but says it makes her laugh and smile. She’s taking part in her mum’s memory, raising funds for Cancer Council NSW and supporting research that could give other families more time together.
