I'm fundraising for...
My main motivation for joining Stars of Wollongong Dance for Cancer 2024 is to support the Cancer Council who have been one of my favorite charities for such a long time. Like many others, I have had loved ones receive the unfortunate diagnosis of cancer. I lost my grandmother at a young age after she battled 2 rounds of lung cancer and 1 round of breast cancer. Just recently one of my closest friends received her second diagnosis of breast cancer after just reaching 5 years cancer free. She has a young family and its been heartbreaking to see her going through this for a second time. I want to do what I can to support such a worthy cause that supports so many people impacted by cancer. In my current role I am responsible for the finance and commercial function for ASP IT. Every day is different but could include reviewing project proposals and contracts, preparing capital submissions, analyzing forecast and monthly results, liaising with project teams and supporting my team with various queries. The thing I love the most about my job is the people. Our people are our strength. We are so fortunate to have incredible experienced and talented people in our teams. 3 interesting facts. First, I am an Australian Champion in Surf Lifesaving. Iām a professional patient with the Kiama Downs Surf Lifesaving Club IRB Racing Team and have been for the past 10 years. I love it! Second, Iām a bit of a tax nerd at heart, I have a Master of Taxation which I completed while I was on maternity leave across 2020 ā 2021. Third, I am doing a year of fear and doing something that makes me a little bit uncomfortable every day to challenge myself and grow.
