Joey Butler

Stars of The Hunter 2026

I'm fundraising for...

Joey is a 30-year-old proud Wonnarua man, devoted husband and father of two, who is deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young Aboriginal men. Through his work in a local high school, Joey strives to support, guide and inspire students to reach their potential. His dedication to Aboriginal education has been recognised through multiple awards, reflecting the impact he continues to make within the school community.
Beyond school, Joey is a valued member of both his local and wider community. He generously volunteers his time with a number of sporting organisations, particularly in cricket and touch football, where he mentors and supports young people both on and off the field.
Joey is now focusing his efforts on supporting cancer research, a cause that is very close to his heart after his wife’s grandmother sadly lost her battle with cancer at just 41 years of age. Motivated, he hopes to raise awareness and contribute to a future where fewer families experience the same loss.
