⭐ Meet Julie Sheldrake ⭐
After completing a Bachelor of Arts at Sydney University of Technology, I first worked in TV and radio as a trainee journalist, and then in the music and entertainment industry in marketing, PR, promotion, copy writing and business development, both in Australia and in the UK & Europe.
After becoming a mother to 3 lovely children and training as a fitness professional, I discovered Aqua
Aerobics and with it, the Learn to Swim and Aquatics Industry, which is where I have focused my efforts for the past decade. I am currently Marketing and HR at Nepean Swim and Fitness who manage the state of the art facility Nepean Aquatic Centre in Penrith and the iconic Eva Bory’s Swim School, located in Emu Plains.
I currently write weekly swim safety articles for the Western Weekender and speak regularly on My88 on the topic of water safety. I recently completed my Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment to deliver further education in this area.
I have always enjoyed dance and performance, and in 2023 made my local musical debut in Penrith Musical Comedy Company’s production of the Wizard Of Oz at the Joan Sutherland Theatre.
I am very excited to be a part of the 2024 Stars of Penrith show and looks forward to raising funds for the Cancer Council.
