Kaelah Austin | Illawarra Stingrays & South Coast Equipment
Kaelah is a whirlwind of talent and energy, especially when she's streaking across the football field! Recently appointed as the club captain of the Illawarra Stingrays, Kaelah is honored to lead a group of incredibly skilled athletes. She takes her role seriously—after all, the Stingrays have a legacy of producing top-tier talent, and it’s up to her to keep that tradition alive.
Leading the Stingrays is more than just wearing the jersey; it’s about upholding the pride and history of the club. With the team’s new home ground at Lakelands Oval in Dapto, things are looking brighter than ever. The recent grant and all the hard-working volunteers have made this possible—and who wouldn’t want to be part of that?
The Stingrays are known for nurturing local talent, with past players like Caitlin Foord, Mary Fowler, Caitlin Cooper, Amy Duggan, and Michelle Heyman leading the way. Kaelah’s excited to see who the next big stars will be.
When she’s not on the field, Kaelah is up at the crack of dawn working hard at Westcliff. Whether she’s driving a dump truck, water cart, front-end loader, or grader, she’s always on the move, often loading A-doubles with clean coal heading to steelworks or the Port Kembla coal terminal.
But don’t even try to keep up—whether it’s on the field, at work, or tearing up the dance floor, Kaelah’s one tough lady to pin down!
