Kate Perkins
Kate Perkins is a passionate Cancer Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist (OT), certified Pinc and Steel cancer rehab therapist, Lymphoedema Therapist and founder of Cancer Rehabilitation and Lymphatic Solutions clinic in Erina, and the Bounce Back from Breast Cancer On-line Exercise Rehab Program.
A former elite competitive cyclist and passionate surfer, Kate draws on her lifelong love of sport, health and fitness to help her patients return to doing the things they love best following their cancer treatment.
Kate works with people at all stages of their cancer diagnosis including pre-treatment, during treatment and post-treatment recovery, with a goal to support as many people as possible to reach their full potential. Kate launched the on-line exercise rehabilitation program, Bounce Back From Breast Cancer, earlier this year.
She also works with people to assess, treat, and manage non cancer related primary/secondary lymphoedema.
Kate is beyond excited to be asked to participate in Stars of the Coast! She loves to dance, she loves an audience, and is thrilled to have this opportunity to raise funds and awareness for the Cancer Council at the same time.
