KATIE STOKES is the founder and editor of "Playing in Puddles" - a website that highlights the best of the Central Coast for kids.
Katie grew up in East Gosford – she ate ice-cream cake in the McDonald’s party train, played basketball for the Rebels and climbed The Skillion before there were steps. After working for more than a decade in print and online media - on publications such as Gourmet Traveller and Qantas magazine - Katie launched "Playing in Puddles" in 2017. A mum of two young boys and local of the Central Coast, Katie loves discovering and sharing all that’s happening in our region.
We all know people who have been touched - or trampled - by Cancer, and Katie has joined this initiative to raise funds for cancer research, to raise awareness and to lend support to those in need in the hope that one day we can give this terrible disease the big heave ho.
Come May 15, Katie will be dancing for her dad, who is currently undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.
Katie’s dance style will be Contemporary and her dance partner, Alexa from Flex Dance Studios.
