Meet Kerri-Ann!

She’s first on the floor for an Abba song, she loves TV costume dramas and can eat chocolate for days. She was a stage mum when her girl was little, she loved all the eisteddfods and dance concerts….” I was the Mum who went up to the adjudicators demanding why my daughter didn’t get first place!”

Kerri-Ann has been married for 29 years to Wade, and their kids are now 24 and 26, and are now at the stage of looking forward to grandkids.

She also has had her own business since 2011, Carnelian Projects,

She’s passionate about helping people build, from first homeowners with house and land packages to investors and those ready for their forever home. She also specializes in forensically checking building contracts/tenders with an honest eye. Kerri-Ann is your New Build Wing Woman.

Kerri-Ann said: “I was personally touched by Cancer 13 years ago when my Mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Mum survived thank goodness, but she has never been the same since. My sister and I are very diligent with our yearly checkups.

I am so looking forward to meeting everyone and raising money for Cancer Council NSW…and am so excited about dancing on stage again, I remember dancing at the Civic Theatre when I was about 7!!”

It is getting close

Not long now till I am dancing on stage at Civic Theatre!! I am so excited and nervous at the same time...I will be channelling my inner disco diva!!

What a Night!!

I had such a wonderful time at my Fundraising Dinner on Saturday Night...just waiting for the final figure to see how much we raised- it was over $3000...woohoo!!
So grateful to everyone who attended.
Now only 18 days till the big night of dancing!! am excited and a little scared at the same time.

Less than a month to go

Well now I am at the stage of rehearsing my dance over and over again-trying to get my arms and legs all together haha.

I have finished my Disco Dance now I need to polish, polish ,polish!!

Jess from Belmont Dance Centre has been fantastic- it has been so much fun...now I am going to 3 dance lessons a week...am hoping my fitness improves for the big night on the 20th of September at Civic Theatre..I don't want to be out of breath!!

Kirsty's Fundraising Lunch Event

What a lovely afternoon yesterday raising money for Cancer Council NSW...with Kirsty Seward another wonderful star.
We listened to a great panel of speakers talking about Courage, Self Image and being Fearless...the food was amazing too.
So lovely to see another amazing star Ofa there as well(and from our photo it does look like the uniform for the Stars yesterday was a white jacket haha)

Dance Lessons are going well

Geez I am loving the Disco theme that I have been given for my dance. Jess from Belmont Dance Centre is still being very patient with me...while my brain tries to catch up every lesson with the routine!! Disco and Abba is in my blood ...I am a child of the 70s!!

My beautiful High Tea

I had a beautiful high tea at Heritage Gardens Ashtonfield, yesterday, raising money for Cancer Council NSW....the food was beautiful and the company was amazing!!

Movie Night Magic

Thank-you to everyone who came along to my Fundraiser Movie Night...it was a wonderful success with around 60 people turning up to watch Fly me to the Moon with Channing Tatum.
I am waiting for the final tally...but I was so humbled that so many people brought raffle tickets and Scrubba Body Lip Balm , with proceeds going to Cancer Council NSW.

4th Dance Lesson Done

I think my brain is slowly catching up with my body- as far as remembering my routine. Jess my dance teacher from Belmont Dance Centre is so lovely and patient with me!! We were even matching in orange this week for my lesson. I can't wait to dance on stage at Civic Theatre...and am super excited for my Fundraising Movie Night next week on the 23rd of July at Hoyts Charlestown...tickets at 123tix.com.au

High Tea Yumminess (if that is a word!!)

I am having a wonderful High Tea fundraiser at Heritage Gardens Cafe in Ashtonfield near Thornton...I am so looking forward to the yummy cakes( I have a huge sweet tooth)...as well as the Savoury delights.
Tickets are $85 and we will be in our own area of the Cafe looking over the Nursery grounds.

2nd Dance lesson!!

I now have proper Jazz Shoes.!! yay..this takes me back to my teenage years and my Jazz dancing days!!
So thankful for Jess from Belmont Dance Centre ,who is very patient with me!! Training my brain to remember a routine has been a struggle, let alone getting my body to move again haha.
I am loving this so much and knowing that the money I am raising is helping people in their darkest, toughest times of their life, is keeping me going.
Bring on next week's lesson- I need to practice!!
