We, a team of educators from Kinross Wolaroi School, including our Principal, school Psychologist, and junior and senior school teaching staff, are taking part in this event to express solidarity with the many families in our community who have been affected by cancer and to raise much needed funds for such a worthy cause. This participation also mirrors the School's core values: courage, respect, inclusiveness, resilience, and commitment. As educators, it is paramount for us to embody the principles and ideals we want to advocate for and impart on our students; illustrating a readiness to venture beyond comfort zones, embrace challenges and to serve and contribute to the wider community.
Although we may lack in dance experience, our enthusiasm compensates for it. We are particularly excited about taking part in this event as it allows us to unite with other local community members, working towards an important common goal. Whilst doing so, it also provides an opportunity to learn something new, step outside our comfort zones, and set a positive example to our students - which aligns with our commitment to personal and collective growth.
Through participating in this event, we want to support and contribute to the extraordinary work of the Cancer Council. We believe that this charity is significant because they tackle cancer comprehensively, encompassing research, prevention, support, and advocacy. This ultimately plays a crucial role in lessening the impact of cancer on individuals within our community, whom we deeply care about, and supports the ultimate goal of a cancer free future!
