Born and raised in Ecuador, South America, Laila moved to Sydney in 1976 where she trialed and experienced different jobs until she found her passion as an aesthetician and opened her own local business, Laila’s Beauty and Laser. A true philanthropist, she volunteers and fundraises for local organizations including ‘Little Wings’ to help sick children, and the ‘Starlight Children’s Foundation’ to raise money by swimming. Laila is excited to be on board for the Stars of Sydney South-West Charity Gala to showcase her Latin flair with salsa, merengue, and cumbia rhythms. In 2019 Laila lost someone to cancer and since then has been an advocate for raising awareness where she can and strives to honor her loved one and help others going through the same situation.
