Lisa Evans is a Team Coach at ahm Health Insurance and the Office Manager for her family’s business, Leading Edge Roof Plumbing. Kind, empathetic, and deeply caring, Lisa thrives in roles where she can lift others up and help them reach their full potential. At ahm, she leads a team dedicated to exceptional member support within a fast paced contact centre environment. In the roofing business, she keeps operations running smoothly behind the scenes. In every space she steps into, Lisa brings calm leadership, positivity, and genuine compassion.
Lisa’s motivation for joining Stars of Wollongong – Dance for Cancer is heartbreakingly close to home. Cancer has touched her family more than once, and most recently, she walked alongside her best friend as she lost her mum after a long, courageous battle with lung cancer that spread. She lived longer than expected—but far from long enough. Lisa’s mission is simple: raise as much as she can so fewer families experience the same pain, and more time can be given to the ones we love.
Heading into the competition, Lisa admits dancing isn’t her biggest strength—but positivity is. She brings a strong mindset, a focus on what she can control, and an ability to see the bright side in even the toughest challenges. She’s ready to give it everything she has.
Her dance background includes childhood dance classes and plenty of fun on the dance floor as an adult. Her go to move is technically “the worm”… though she describes it as “more of a burpee.” Musically, she’s a lover of 80s and 90s throwbacks and any song by P!nk—guaranteed to get her moving.

She has her jetski licence (unexpected if you’ve seen her drive, she says!).
She’s always down for a dressup party—no excuse needed.
Concerts and musicals are her happy place.
Her dream dance partner? Channing Tatum—no explanation needed.
Lisa has exciting fundraising plans in the works, hoping to team up with local businesses, host a barefoot bowls event, and create fun community driven activities (with some surprises she’s keeping secret for now!).
