My Story...
Mali grew up in the small country town of Euroa and moved to Albury back in 2010 at 20 years of age. Mali was morbidly obese and made a number of significant lifestyle changes to ultimately lose 48 kgs!
This journey led Mali to have a very strong interest in health and fitness and resulted in Mali obtaining personal training qualifications and starting his own business. Mali’s interest and participation in fitness events has resulted in some amazing experiences including being part of the TV show ‘Search4Hurt’, being a sponsored Obstacle Racing athlete, completing multi-day adventure courses and many more!
Along the way, Mali realised that his Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness that allowed him to provide fitness coaching did not provide him with the knowledge or qualifications necessary to provide a truly holistic health service. This led Mali to obtaining his Occupational Therapy degree.
Mali currently works as an Occupational Therapist under his own business; Unique You Disability Services, as well as being the Manager and Head Coach at CrossFit Midnight Life.
“Like many people, I have had family and friends that are survivors of cancer or are unfortunately no longer with us. I have an incredibly strong personal and professional passion for assisting people with overcoming any level of disability caused by health conditions,” Mali said. “I have a particular interest in assisting individuals with mental health diagnoses and psychosocial disabilities.”
In addition to his interests in health and fitness, Mali loves music and performance and is actively involved in the local amateur theatre community having obtained lead roles in Les Miserables, Kinky Boots, Mamma Mia and We Will Rock You.
