Martin Lo Surdo

Meet Martin, Director/Partner at MMJ Real Estate Wollongong, and proud participant in Stars of Wollongong Dance for Cancer!  

Since joining MMJ in 2019, he’s been helping clients successfully exit their business ventures while also promoting the region as a fantastic place to live, work, and invest. A typical day involves client meetings, market research, and plenty of phone calls—always with a passion for helping others.  

Joining this dance event is personal for him. After losing his grandfather to cancer, followed by his own battle and the diagnoses of close family members, he’s seen firsthand how crucial cancer research is. He’s dancing to help ensure a future where cancer diagnoses aren’t devastating.  

While he's no professional dancer, he has a secret weapon—dancing world champion Jessica, his daughter, whom he’s supported throughout her career. Jess recently claimed a podium finish at the World Championships, a testament to her dedication and skill. Together, they will make an incredible duo, combining her expertise and his determination to shine on the dance floor.  

With a love for dance floor hits, he’s ready to hit the stage (even if the nerves are real)! Unfortunately, Madonna was unavailable to be his dance partner, so Jessica will get him stage-ready! Outside of work, he coaches a women’s football team, holds a black belt in Taekwondo, and used to fight fires—moves that might wow or come in handy in case of any dance floor disasters!
