⭐ Meet Michelle Garvey ⭐

I have lost too many people and know too many people who have been struck by Cancer. I am

lucky enough to be healthy. I don't have loads of money, but I know I can give my time.

I am joining Stars because I am a tad crazy! Apparently Mum of 2, step mum of 3, Nana of 1, two jobs and a Wife is just not enough!

I don't have real dance experience, but I am a Zumba instructor. Please don't assume this means I can dance...I make the rules in Zumba, I don't follow someone else’s.

I've lived in the Penrith area most of my life. Born at Nepean Hospital, school at Kingswood High. Currently living in Glenwood.

I want to do all that I can to raise money for Cancer Council. I am excited to get all dressed up and learn new things as well as making new friends.

The Countdown is on…

4 rehearsals done now and SO many practice sessions at home. 
I think I have the moves…if we could slow down the music a bit! I am so worried I’ll make a fool of myself…not in a good way!

First Lesson 08/01

Today I made the 50 minute trek up the mountains to have my first dance lesson with Racquel. 
What was I worried about? 
Am I too old for this? On the flip side, what if Racquel just assumes I’m old and not game to try pretty much anything?
Am I fit enough for this? Am I going to be able to keep up?
Hmmm…so some fears were confirmed…I may not be too old but my body thinks I am! Racquel now knows I’m “a cool Nana” and up to give anything a go, am I fit enough? Probably… and if not I soon will be. 
I’m looking forward to next week when we put done more fabulous moves together.
