Meet Olivia
Meet the new Toni!Olivia Babb is thrilled to join the Stars of Tamworth 2023 to represent 7 News New England.
You might recognise her from the nightly news bulletin or maybe you’ve even been bailed up on Peel Street to give your opinion on the hottest topic of the day.
Originally from Melbourne - Olivia is passionate about the work the Cancer Council does and the services they provide for regional people battling cancer.
Olivia lost two of her Aunties to Cancer and knows the impact family members feel in long and short term health battles.
When asked to join the Stars family Olivia was unsure about the dancing stuff - but the chance to give back won her over.
Toni joins 2023 Stars of Tamworth
Toni is thrilled to be a Star in this year’s Dance for Cancer event. You might recognise her from Seven News where she works as a reporter covering everything that happens in New England & North West.
Toni won’t deny she has an unfair advantage when it comes to the dance aspect of this challenge after working as a dancer in a past life.
However Toni has a long history of participating in this event from co hosting the 2022 Tamworth event - to helping out The Stars of Newcastle in 2018 and 2019. And it’s all because she’s passionate about supporting the great work the Cancer Council does right across Australia.
Toni will be fundraising for this event in honour of her Grandma Mary who died of cancer.
Please don’t be shy and support Toni this year – coming out of dance retirement is difficult – but nothing compared to what people with cancer battle every single day.
Throw in a dollar or two and you might find out if Toni can still do the splits or not!
