Hey, my name is Ollie!
I’m 29 years of age, hailing from Sydney’s North Shore. I’ve spent the last few years looking into all things Artificial Intelligence as a PhD researcher and university educator.
However, I am here because cancer decided to throw me a nasty curveball in
2023, and even with a very good prognosis, it has been one of the most challenging
things I’ve ever dealt with - both physically and mentally. It’s safe to say
that I wouldn’t have made it through without a very generous support network. That includes the incredible work that Cancer Council does through its volunteers and amazing resources that help to make sense of very uncertain times.
I’m now slowly recovering after last year’s surgeries and chemotherapy, and I’m keen to give this dance battle a crack for a great cause.
