Meet Rachel, a proud Albury Wodonga resident for her entire life, and for the past 26 years, she has shared her journey with her husband Duanne. Together, they've built a loving family, including two wonderful children – Maddie, aged 24, and Caleb, about to turn 21. Adding to the joy, Rachel is a proud and fortunate grandmother to a beautiful little grandson, Theo, who is just 6 months old. Their family is complete with the presence of a beloved rescue dog named Rani, who has become an integral part of their lives.
Professionally, Rachel serves as an Early Childhood Teacher and Educational Leader at TAFE NSW-Albury, contributing her skills and passion to the education field.
Known for her energetic and adventurous spirit, Rachel is determined to live life to the fullest. Among her friends, she is recognized for her optimism, open-mindedness, and sense of humor, making her a cherished presence in their lives.
Beyond the personal joys, Rachel harbors a deep commitment to a meaningful cause – resourcing the medical field with funds to find a cure for cancer. Having experienced the loss of people close to her heart and witnessing others going through their cancer journeys, Rachel is driven by the goal of making a difference. It is her heartfelt aspiration to contribute to alleviating the heartache associated with cancer.
Now, Rachel is embarking on an exciting venture as she participates in the Stars of the Border fundraiser. In this endeavor, she will be learning to dance with the aim of performing at a gala event in May, all in support of raising funds for cancer. Through her participation, Rachel not only brings her vibrant energy to the dance floor but also channels her determination and passion towards a cause that holds immense personal significance. Her journey in Stars of the Border is a reflection of her commitment to living a full and purposeful life while making a positive impact on those affected by cancer.
