Whilst Rhona is a mother of three and a registered Nurse at Shoalhaven Hospital, she has always dreamt of performing in musical theatre. For Rhona music and dance is her chance to relax and be transported to a dream land. Due to Rhona’s work as a nurse, she knows all too well the devastating impact cancer can have on families. She will be embracing her love for dance in memory of her dad who she lost to bowel cancer, her brother-in-law and very close friend who are both currently fighting their own battle with bowel cancer. Growing up Rhona can still remember her talented parents dancing ballroom around the lounge room. Whilst she never had the chance to learn ballroom dancing with her dad, she is sure he will be dancing with her on the night.
Asmara has many notches in her belt for a teen, she began dancing at 6 years old with Physie and Calisthenics, but for the past 3 years has moved across to Your Talent Team where she dances a broad range of styles. Asmara loves the freedom dancing brings her and the ability to tell a story, especially with Lyrical and Modern Contemporary dance. She participated in Stars of Nowra last year and just loved watching her Star grow and doing it all for an amazing cause.
