Stars of The Beaches 2023

I'm fundraising for...

A fun way to raise funds for great cause … we’ve all been touched, or had friends or family touched by cancer.

About me…

I was first elected to our new local council (Northern Beaches) in 2017 to represent the Manly Ward and love being a part of our community. I’m a dance mum – of three gorgeous girls who are now in their teens – so it is probably my turn to get to go on the stage! I did do ballet back when I was a kid – but since then any dancing performances have been in nightclubs (in my 20s) and reliving my youth at weddings. These days I mostly provide amusement to my girls as I struggle to do their tiktok choreography or keep up with the Pilates instructor. At least I’m a better dancer than my husband (he will take offence at that remark). I’m excited about being part of the Stars of the Beaches, I’m hoping to have the opportunity to wear some sparkles and looking forward to totally embarrassing my girls. I’ve had family members & friends who’ve suffered from breast, bowel, skin and ovarian cancer – so this is particularly for them.

Rehearsals Progressing well.

DeeBee and I have enlisted some help from the local beaches disco queens - Sally and Katrina  from You Should be Dancing (@Warriewood) to help us with our disco choreography. They gave up some time on the public holiday Monday to teach us some more disco moves. 💃🕺🪩

We backed up with another session today. In the Dancexcel studio - It’s coming together!
Don’t forget you can buy tickets to the gala to see the big event!

First Rehearsal

Thursday 7th September
Dee and I had our first rehearsal  at the studio. We got suitably hit and sweaty as we chose a song and started practicing some moves.

A massive thanks to Catherine @ Dancexcel for her generous sponsorship of studio space for our preparation.

I’ll check in every week to let you all know how I’m going as we gear up to the big day.

And big thanks to Jules for being my first sponsor!

Thank you to my Sponsors
