Suzanne Hammond-Warne

Suzanne is the passionate Musical Director and President of the Shoalhaven Community Choir, a role she founded in 2017 and holds with great dedication. Her responsibilities include selecting repertoire, organising rehearsals, managing events, and coordinating performances, all of which she does voluntarily out of love for the choir and the community. For Suzanne, fostering joy and camaraderie through singing is more than just a job – it's a true passion. She devotes hours each week to ensure the choir’s success and enjoyment. 

Suzanne is participating in Stars of Nowra to honour those in her life affected by cancer, including the loss of two mothers-in-law, a young student to brain cancer, and close friends. She has seen firsthand how cancer touches everyone and is motivated to raise funds for cancer research and care. 

Outside of the choir, Suzanne is an incredibly active person with many interests. She loves dancing, having been involved in ballroom, tap, jazz, and Latin for years, and enjoys music from Elton John to Cold Chisel. In addition to her musical pursuits, Suzanne is a beekeeper with six hives, a passionate quilter with multiple awards, and deeply involved in the local community through the Shoalhaven Multicultural Committee, Lions Club, Probus Club, and more. Her dream dance partner? Patrick Swayze – she's ready to channel those iconic Dirty Dancing moves! Suzanne is excited to take the floor and support this meaningful cause.
