Representing: Clear Path AccountingSuzanne joined Stars of Penrith Dance for Cancer to combine two things close to her heart: supporting her community and stepping outside her comfort zone. With several family members affected by cancer, raising funds for such an important cause feels deeply personal. And while she’s never danced on a stage before, she’s embracing the challenge with her signature mantra: be brave, say yes, and give everything a go.

⭐️ I Said Yes to Stars of Penrith — Will you join me? ⭐️
A long time ago, I made a commitment to myself:
Say yes to opportunities that stretch me, scare me, and help me grow. So,
when the Stars of Penrith invitation came along, I didn’t overthink it.
I simply said yes.
It doesn’t matter that I’ve never danced, never been on a stage, and happen to be the oldest contestant this year — I’m here for it.
💛 Why I’m Doing This
I’m dancing for families facing cancer.
So many people in our community are touched by this disease. No so long ago,
the first question after a diagnosis was “How long have I got?” Today it’s
“What’s my treatment?” Imagine a future where people ask, “How quickly can we
beat this?” That’s the future we’re helping to build.
I’m doing this to face fear head-on.
This experience scares the f*^# out of me — and that’s exactly why I said yes. Jazz
dancing in front of hundreds of people, with no experience and no idea what to
expect, is a massive leap outside my comfort zone. But fear loses its power
when you walk straight into it. I want to show that I can choose courage, back myself,
and maybe reveal an unexpected little sparkle of talent 😉.
And I’m doing this for us girls.
Sometimes I genuinely feel that helping women step into their strength is part
of my calling. Women carry so much — in business, life, leadership, and family
— often without acknowledging their own brilliance. I want to show that we’re
allowed to try new things, choose joy, take up space, and be brave at any age. If
my “yes” encourages even one woman to reignite her confidence or try something
bold, then every rehearsal will be worth it.

I’ve set a big goal — $50,000 raised for the Cancer Council. Every dollar supports research, care, and the futures of families across our region.
