Suzie, is a single Mum of a wonderful young man, called Denis and they live a quiet little life in this town called Ballina that they have been lucky enough to call home for the last 13 years. So, you could say that she is nearly now a true local!
Her professional life is of a Beauty/Skin Therapist in Ballina at Tonic Hair and Beauty. She works daily with a wide variety of lovely ladies in the community. When she is not at work in the beauty room you will find her around town keeping fit and healthy, mostly running around the beautiful tracks around the beautiful river and North Wall, and she also frequents a couple of gyms. She loves to live a healthy and active lifestyle enjoying a good coffee and nice wine to keep the balance.
When she was asked to join Ballina Stars - Dance for Cancer to raise money for Cancer Council, Suzie jumped at the chance. She has a very special reason to dance as this year, marks 21 years since she lost her Mum to bowel and stomach cancer, she was only 61 when she lost her…. far too young! She had a very special bond with her Mum, they both shared a love of life, laughter and fun which she hopes will translate into her dancing efforts. She hopes to raise as much money as she can for this wonderful cause, so one day we really can live in a cancer free world.
