I am the manager and one of the educators in a multidisciplinary team at Hilltops Early Intervention.
I have a husband who is a farmer and three amazing children, two sons aged 26 and 23, a 17 year old daughter and a little grandson as of last November.
What brings me the most joy is having all my family together.
I also enjoy time with treasured friends and to travel and see other places and cultures which I hope we can all do again one day.
Cancer like for so many others has taken away far before their time my aunt a few years ago whom I was very close to and only recently my 45 year old sister.
I am doing Stars of Young for a few reasons. Firstly as a tribute to my sister and aunt and to continue to raise awareness and funding for all the areas that the Cancer Council support and put the money to.
Also, I wanted to do it for myself and prove to myself that I can do whatever I put my mind to and it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. It’s a big thing getting up on stage but it’s nothing compared to what someone with cancer having treatment has to endure.
I look forward to this challenge and wish everyone all the best as we travel this journey together.
GratefulWhat a wonderful small community we live in. I’m so grateful for all the support so far for this cause. We start dance 💃🏻 practise in two weeks which will be great to get into it.
