🌟 Meet Tiara Jade Marsden🌟

As a breast cancer survivor, I’ve faced immense challenges. Chemo damage limited my body movement, but my family’s encouragement led me to join Stars - a cause close to my heart. 

When I was working at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre I got an unexpected diagnosis of Inflammatory Breast Cancer that changed my life. After two years of fighting, I’ve triumphed and returned to work - literally “saving my life.” 

I exude confidence, hoping to inspire others to embrace life fully. Dancing was my passion in younger years, and even now, I groove in Zumba classes. 

Remember the saying: “Dance while no one is watching.”

I battle “Chemo brain,” fearing I might forget my moves but determination fuels my steps. 

I’m a proud mother of five and a doting grandmother to six. I'm gifted with spiritual insight, I find solace in unseen realms. 

If I could choose a dance partner, it’d be the legendary Michael Jackson. He He He!

MY PERSONAL COMMITMENT


As a cancer survivor who has tragically lost both parents to this disease, my passion for raising awareness and funds for cancer research runs deep. Every day, I am reminded of the impact that cancer has had on my life and the lives of so many others. That's why I am proud to be participating in the Stars of Nowra dance competition, where I will be dancing to raise money for cancer research.

My journey with cancer began in 2021 when I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer  myself for my 45th Bday.  It was a challenging time, filled with fear and uncertainty. But through the support of my loved ones and the incredible medical team that cared for me & help from the Cancer Council i was able to overcome the illness and emerge stronger on the other side.

 Through it all, my passion for cancer awareness and research has only grown stronger. I believe that by raising awareness and funding for cancer research, we can one day achieve a world free of this terrible disease. And that is why I am dedicating my time and energy to dancing in the Stars of Nowra competition, in the hopes of making a meaningful contribution to this important cause.

I may have faced more than my fair share of challenges when it comes to cancer, but I refuse to let it define me. Instead, I choose to use my experiences as fuel for my passion and commitment to making a difference in the fight against cancer. Together, with the support of others who share this goal, I believe that we can work towards a future where cancer is no longer a threat to our loved ones.

So as I take the stage to dance in the Stars of Nowra competition, I dance not only for myself, but for all those who have been touched by cancer. I dance in honor of my parents, and for all those who are still fighting the battle against this disease. And most importantly, I dance with hope in my heart that one day, we will see a world free of cancer.
