The TLC Ladies consist of Tanya Brown, Lois Terry and Carmen Thackeray (plus voice coach Lindel Roxburgh). They are members of the Hilltops Regional Theatre Company.
Tanya is a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grammy and very blessed!
She is also the owner of Young Skin Logic and said she loves saving skin!
Tanya loves to sing, but is not a lover of dancing.
She enjoys spending time with my family and friends and being a member of the Hilltops Regional Theatre Company (40 years!)
Her favourite holiday destination is Port Douglas.
Tanya's reason for participating in Stars of Young is, like many of that have been affected by the Big C.
I will be raising funds to help the people of this community and remembering all of the special people we have lost to this dreaded disease.
My grandmother Maisie died way too early: with the research and changes in early detection she would still be here.
So I am grateful for what the Cancer Council is achieving today and into the future.
Lois retired four years ago, after 37 years in the floorcovering and window furnishings business working for Carpet Court.
Since retiring and pre-Covid, Lois and her husband continued with their overseas travel and recently purchased a motorhome within they are going to travel around Australia.
Lois and her husband have three beautiful children and six grandchildren - all of whom bring job and pride.
Lois is a Life Member of Hilltops Regional Theatre Co., which she's been devoted to for 37 years. Her love for acting, singing, and dancing has been a fun part of her life.
Lois's favourite holiday destinations are Australia, especially Hamilton Island, Canada, Croatia, and Greece.
Her participation in Stars of Young is a personal one. She know we have all been touched by this hideous disease in way or another.
Lois is participating for her beautiful daughter, who fought and won her battle against cancer in 2018/2019.
Carmen is a Stay-At-Farm-Mum of two beautiful boys and loves seeing them learning every day on the farm
Stockwork, in particular mustering, is a favourite activity for Carmen and she is hoping to rub off a love of horses onto her sons. Carmen jokes that she needs a horse breaker and a farrier.
In her spare time, Carmen enjoys horse riding, gardening, yoga, seeing family and friends, a good book, and performing with Hilltops Regional Theatre Company.’
She's had some amazing experiences travelling here and overseas, but her favourite holiday destination is Mollymook.
Carmen is participating in Stars of Young because we have all been touched in some way by cancer so raising money for the Cancer Council is such a worthy cause.
Also, she attended first Stars of Young and thought it was a FUN night!
