🌟 Meet Trish Ikin 🌟
I am the Principal at the Shoalhaven River College which is a specialist high school for students completing the RoSA, Year 11 and HSC. My days are incredibly busy as I support the staff and students to have as much success as possible towards their educational goals. The best thing about my job is that I work with an incredible team who are extremely passionate about working with young people. We find this model of ‘doing school differently’ so rewarding.
I have been diagnosed with cancer and received a range of treatments. I’m grateful to have survived and I’m even more grateful to my family and friends for getting me through this time. More importantly I’m extremely grateful for the research that provided me with the successful range of treatments – from multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation. I would like to raise attention and thank all the research people and the amazing medical staff at the hospitals and clinics that allowed me to reach remission.
I enjoy water sports – outrigger canoeing with Jervis Bay Outriggers and Dragon Boat racing with my Pittwater Crew. I also love watching sports – particularly a range of football codes and basketball.
I have lived and travelled overseas many times and I really enjoy planning my next trip. This year I’ll be going to the World Club Crew championships for Dragon Boat racing in Italy with my Pittwater crew!!!

Raising Money for Cancer Research and support
I am so grateful to have survived my diagnosis of breast cancer. I know so many who haven’t. I am grateful to be alive and well - even after a double mastectomy- and my goal is to raise as much money for cancer research and the support of those going through treatment in our area - all with the massive help of my family and friends. I also hope I don’t fall on my @rse when I’m dancing on stage in May 😁😁😜😜🤩Thank you to my Sponsors
