Our Teachers

Bronte Dunning | Relevé Studio

Bronte's love for dance has carried her through over 15 years of training and led her to develop a passion for teaching and sharing the joy and medicine of movement. πŸ’ƒ She has trained in a wide range of dance styles, with a strong emphasis on technique.

She has been fortunate to learn from a variety of industry professionals, with some of her most valuable experiences including two trips to America πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ to perform at Disneyland 🏰 and Universal Studios 🎬 as part of the Dance Around the World Tour. Bronte hopes to instil a love of storytelling in her students and foster the confidence that allows them to become the best version of themselves. ✨

πŸ’› Why is Bronte involved in Stars of Ballina?

My motivation for being involved in the event comes from a desire to support a meaningful cause while sharing something I am passionate about. Dance has always been a powerful way to connect with others, and I love creating opportunities to bring people together through movement. πŸ’™ Giving back to the community and being part of an event that combines creativity with positive impact is something I find deeply rewarding.

Relevé Studio is a photography, videography, and dance education service dedicated to crafting cinematic, movement-led imagery while also providing dance classes that elevate and empower dancers and performers. With a focus on authenticity and accessibility, we create meaningful experiences and considered work that honour both the discipline and individuality of dancers at every stage.

At Relevé Studio, it's all about celebrating the joy of dance with individuals no matter their background or experience. Our motivation to be involved in the event comes from a place of sharing the power of dance with our community while helping make a change and raise money for a really important cause. πŸŽ—οΈ

Jane Fondle | Hoops Thighs & Buttocks

Jane Fondle has considered herself a dance superstar ever since staging lounge-room concerts for her mum as a child. 🎀 Today, she is the founder and Creative Director of Hoops Thighs & Buttocks, delivering hula hoop, dance and movement experiences across Australia.

A professional hula hoop performer, Jane blends circus, clowning, retro aerobics and unapologetic '80s dance moves into performances that are equal parts skill and silliness. Passionate about making movement fun, accessible and empowering, she has spent her adult life helping people build confidence, connect with others and celebrate self-expression through play. πŸ’›

Hoops Thighs & Buttocks is home to fun, inclusive and empowering hula hoop and dance experiences. Their talented facilitators combine hula hooping, dance, retro fitness and plenty of sass to help people step outside their comfort zone and discover the joy of movement. ✨

Jane is always excited to get involved in local opportunities where she can share her passion for dance and hula hooping. She especially loves working with absolute beginners, helping them transform from nervous participants into confident performers and shining stars. ⭐

πŸŽ—οΈ Being part of Stars of Ballina is especially meaningful to Jane because of her personal connection to Cancer Council after losing her mum to cancer 10 years ago. She's proud to use her passion, energy and experience to help raise vital funds and support others facing their own cancer journey. πŸ’™

Emma Moffatt White

From dazzling audiences with Burlesque at The Brunswick Picture House 🎭 to performing in Hip Hop Flash Mobs at Splendour in the Grass 🎢, my love for dance truly knows no limits.

Dance has given me so much over the years, and it's something I love sharing with others. Creating a safe, supportive and fun environment is at the heart of everything I do. Whether I'm teaching in the studio, performing on stage, or encouraging someone who's taking their very first dance steps, my goal is always the same—to help people feel confident, capable and enjoy every moment. ❀️

One of the things I love most about dance is its incredible ability to bring people together. It breaks down barriers, builds confidence, creates friendships, and reminds us that everyone belongs, no matter their age, background or experience. Watching someone discover confidence they didn't know they had is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. ✨

I'm so excited to share this Stars of Ballina journey with my star, and you'll probably hear me cheering them on from down the street! πŸ“£πŸ’™ Seeing them grow in confidence and step outside their comfort zone is going to be just as rewarding as the performance itself.

Being part of this event is incredibly meaningful because it combines my passion for dance with the opportunity to support a cause that has touched the lives of so many families. πŸŽ—οΈ

I'm motivated by the chance to bring our community together, raise vital funds and awareness for the Cancer Council, and be part of something that can make a genuine difference. If we can inspire people, create a few smiles, and help move us one step closer to a cancer-free future, then every rehearsal and every dance step will be worth it. πŸ’›βœ¨

Bec Watling | Heel Hook Line Dancers

Hi, I'm Bec! πŸ€ πŸ’ƒ

My line dancing journey began back in 2017 in Alice Springs, where I discovered a love for dancing that I never expected would become such a huge part of my life.

When I returned home to Ballina in 2019, I was excited to keep dancing, but I couldn't find a local class to join. Rather than give up something I loved, I decided to start my own—and I've never looked back! ❀️ This year, I'm incredibly proud to be celebrating more than six years of teaching and building an amazing community of dancers.

Named after the steps from the iconic line dance "Copperhead Road"—the very first dance I ever learned—Heel Hook Line Dancing was born. πŸ€ πŸ‘’

Over the years, I've welcomed hundreds of first-time dancers through my doors. One of the greatest joys has been watching people who were convinced they had "two left feet" discover that they absolutely can dance. Seeing their confidence grow, their smiles get bigger each week, and the friendships they've formed has been the most rewarding part of this journey. There's nothing quite like seeing a room full of people laughing, dancing, and having fun together. ✨

When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me helping to run our local family business, cuddling my beautiful dog, Tilly 🐢, or learning new dances to share with my classes.

I'm so excited to be part of Stars of Ballina because it's a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community while doing something I genuinely love.

As a dance teacher, I've seen firsthand how music and movement can change lives. It brings people together, builds confidence, creates lifelong friendships, and reminds us that it's never too late to try something new. πŸ’™

Being able to support a charity that's making such an important difference in the lives of so many people makes this experience even more meaningful. I'm incredibly proud to be stepping onto the dance floor for a cause that touches so many families, and I can't wait to give it my all! πŸŽ—οΈβœ¨
