Our Teachers

Aaron Noble

Having been heavily involved in award-winning productions from a young age, Aaron decided to focus his efforts on tap dance in 2015. He has received training from The Forge Tap Project, Tap Dogs and other leading figures in Australian tap dance. After receiving an Emerging Artist award from the Australian Tap Dance Festival in 2017, he featured in The Forge Tap Company’s inaugural performance, Alpha, and created the tap duo Two Soles with Tania Gould.

After spending the summer of 2020 in Auckland teaching classes and choreographing competition pieces, he spent the subsequent lockdowns directing a long-distance video collaboration between 20+ tap dancers from across Australia and beyond.

Aaron spends his time teaching tap all over Sydney, training students of all ages and ability levels, including advanced diploma students at major national performing arts institutions, and leading masterclasses for the Australian Tap Dance Festival and the Sydney Tap Festival.

Bec Ryan

Rebecca began her journey as a professional dancer at a prestigious performing arts college in the UK, where she developed the strong technical foundation and passion that would shape her career. After graduating, she went on to perform professionally both at sea and on land, dancing onboard Cunard’s three iconic cruise ships - RMS Queen Mary 2, MS Queen Victoria and MS Queen Elizabeth. During this time, she travelled the world, performing for international audiences while gaining invaluable experience as part of large-scale production shows.

Alongside her work at sea, she also toured extensively throughout the UK, embracing every opportunity to share her love of dance on stage. Performing was not only her career but her greatest passion, and she cherished every moment spent in rehearsals, theatres, and under the stage lights.

Nine years ago, a serious back injury sadly brought her performing career to an early close. While this marked the end of her professional dance career, it also opened the door to a new chapter of life. Following her early retirement from performing, she made the exciting move to Australia, where she has built a wonderful new life.

After becoming a mum to her little boy Noah, her love of dance has never faded. She is incredibly excited and grateful to be returning to the stage for Stars of the North. Being part of this event means so much to her, and she feels truly honoured to dance again - not only reconnecting with something she loves but also supporting such an important cause.

Emiliano and Francisca

Hi everyone, we’re Emiliano and Francisca. We’re international bachata artists, teaching and performing across Australia and internationally. We’re proud to be supporting Cancer Council NSW through this initiative and to share our passion for dance in this special context.

Katrina Holt

I’m so excited to be returning for another Stars event after a thrilling draw-winning experience at Stars of the Beaches. Born in Sydney. Left school at 14 to study full-time ballet at Ecole Classique on the North Shore under the highly respected Prudence Bowen (Principal and RAD Examiner).

After a year and a half Katrina decided to return to school and pursue a different career in public relations but still had a passion for dancing and fitness. This led her to competing in Aerobic competitions and dancing in amateur productions as well as dancing in the Winfield Cup and in 1986 dancing at Wembley stadium in London for the inaugural Superbowl game which was televised around the world!

She then stopped dancing and focussed on her other passion - training and competing in half marathons for five years.

It was in her late forties that she realised she must dance again - and combine her fitness training with dance!

  • Jazzercise Instructor of 3 years
  • Teacher/choreographer of Moove and Groove for 2 years
  • Co-owner/teacher/choreographer of You Should Be Dancing Company 5 years

Katrina is now the sole owner/teacher and choreographer of Kat's Dance Fitness based on the Northern Beaches.

Katrina wants everyone to feel the joy of dance - and get an amazing fitness workout both physically and mentally!

Katrina lost both her parents through Cancer and always commits to the Cancer Council Fundraisers to honour, not just her parents memory but for all the amazing work and research involved in support and finding cures.
