Meet Leanne… She started dancing at the age of 2 and at 54 still loves dance.
Leanne has performed as a Canberra Raiders Cheerleader, was in the Canberra Youth Ballet School and also performed in many musicals and Ballets in Canberra growing up. She has danced professionally overseas in Japan at the age of 18, and has taught dance for over 35 years. She been running my own dance school now for 11 years and still has a passion for dance.
Leanne has participated in all three Stars of Young and has been an integral part of its success, bringing passion, energy, and dedication to every event.

Meet Gabby… She is the owner of Art of Espresso Coffee Company alongside her husband Adrian, together they have 3 beautiful children. Gaby has a long history in dance, having put her first ballet slippers on at age 4. Although it's been many years since Gaby has danced professionally, she has always maintained a strong connection to the dance world and her passion for the creativity it brings. In her younger years Gaby owned her own ballet school in Grenfell for 7 years before the bright lights of the city beckoned. During her dancing years Gaby performed at numerous eisteddfods & concerts across NSW, her highlight being performing at The Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Dance Company. Gaby's first involvement with the Stars of Young began as a judge then quickly progressed as a choreographer to some fabulous stars ranging from contemporary routines to fun musical theatre numbers.
Gab would like to dedicate this role to the memory of her beautiful mum ‘Barb’ |

Meet Sarah.. |
She has grown up dancing with Christine Wishart’s Dance Studio for the past 17 years in Young, where she have trained in all genres and competed across the state in various solos, duos/trios and groups. Sarah has also been teaching and choreographing for CWDS for the past 6 years and has recently completed her Stage 6 Dance course through high school and am now moving on to complete my Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management this year. I was a backup dancer for two of the Young Stars act’s in 2022 and am most looking forward to join the crew as one of the teacher’s this year! I’ve volunteered for this event again as I look forward to meeting and working with more people throughout the local area, whilst contributing towards a cause that has affected many families throughout the community
I’m supporting this event because cancer has affected people close to me, with friends and family enduring the challenges it brings. I believe it’s crucial to offer support, strength and hope to those facing this difficult journey. By participating in this event, I hope to raise awareness within our community and contribute to a cause that touches so many lives across Australia.

Meet Isabella....
Hey hey, my name is Isabella, i’m 19 years old and very passionate about dancing and all the joys that come with it. I have been a dancer for 17 years, starting when I was 2.5 years old. I’m a Christine Wishart girl through and through and have done every style from ballet through to hip hop, as well as competing in many eisteddfods across NSW. This year I have stepped into a higher role within our studios, becoming the main jazz teacher in Young as well as the jazz, contemporary and babies ballet and tap teacher in Temora, meaning I now teach 5 days a week.
I have participated in this amazing event before being a backup dancer for Nick Duff and loved every second of it.
I’m very excited to watch my star grow as we rehearse and create some amazing memories with some amazing people!!
I chose to support ‘Stars of Young’ as it has such a great meaning behind it. Not only is it raising money for the Cancer Council, but it brings so much excitement and joy into the community. Everyone is always so eager to watch the brave people who decided to get up and push themselves out of their comfort zones. We all understand it is not an easy thing to do, and the commitment from the stars and everyone else involved in this great event is truely magical.
We have all in some way been affected by this horrible disease and being apart of something fun to raise money for an amazing organisation was an opportunity I definitely couldn’t pass up.

Meet Meg...

Pole Dancing gives you confidence in your body with movement, strength and overall fitness.
