CHRISTINE ARMSTRONG | UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE

Christine is a Lecturer in Marketing and Director of Alumni & Student Relations at the University of Newcastle's Business School, where she combines her passion for education, communication and connection. With a PhD and a background in marketing and communications, she spends her days helping shape the next generation of business leaders while fostering meaningful relationships across the university community.

Outside the lecture theatre, Christine has always had a creative side. A self-confessed frustrated actor with a drama degree, she loves storytelling, performance and any excuse to step into character. While she readily admits that dancing doesn't come naturally to her, she's embracing the challenge with humour, enthusiasm and a willingness to give anything a go.

When the opportunity to take part in Stars of Newcastle came along, Christine saw it as a chance to combine her love of performance with a cause that truly matters. Like so many people, she has seen the impact cancer can have on family and friends, and understands the importance of the research, support and hope that organisations like Cancer Council provide.

For Christine, Stars is about making a meaningful contribution, having some fun along the way, and using her network and community connections to help raise vital funds for people affected by cancer.
