Christy is passionate about bringing people together. As a Sponsorship and Business Development Manager, she thrives on creating meaningful partnerships, building strong networks, and connecting the right people to achieve great outcomes. Known for her energy, authenticity and relationship-first approach, Christy has become a trusted connector across the Hunter business community.
A devoted mum of two and proud wife to Troy, Christy balances her professional life with family, friends, soccer, travel and making the most of life's fun moments. She is also actively involved with the Hunter Women in Business Network and Newcastle Business Club, where she helps support local businesses and foster collaboration across the region.
When asked to be part of Stars of Newcastle, Christy saw an opportunity to use her connections and enthusiasm to make a real difference. Cancer has touched the lives of people close to her, including her young nephew, who was diagnosed with cancer at just one year old. Watching loved ones face such difficult challenges reinforced the importance of organisations like Cancer Council and the support they provide to families during their toughest times.
While stepping onto the dance floor may take her outside her comfort zone, Christy is embracing the challenge wholeheartedly. For her, Stars is about giving back, bringing people together for a great cause, and using her network, determination and community spirit to help raise vital funds for those affected by cancer.

✨ 2 WEEKS TO GO… ✨
What a journey the past 10 weeks have been!
There have been challenges, nerves, plenty of laughs, countless hours behind the scenes and moments that have pushed me completely outside my comfort zone. But through it all, the support has been nothing short of incredible. 💜
Every donation, message, share, sponsor and word of encouragement has reminded me why I said yes to Stars of Newcastle. This journey is about so much more than learning a dance, it’s about bringing our community together and raising vital funds & awareness for the Cancer Council.
Now, with just two weeks remaining, the excitement is building and the final countdown is officially on! There is still plenty of rehearsing, fundraising and hard work ahead, but I’m ready to give these last two weeks everything I have.
To everyone who has supported me so far, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I couldn’t have made it this far without you.

Six Weeks Into My Stars of Newcastle Journey ✨
It’s hard to believe that it has already been six weeks since I was selected as one of the Stars of Newcastle and what a six weeks it has been!
What started with a very exciting announcement has quickly turned into a journey filled with new connections, new experiences, plenty of planning and, most importantly, an incredible amount of support from our Newcastle community.
Over the past six weeks, I’ve been busy behind the scenes building momentum, meeting with local businesses, connecting with potential sponsors and supporters, and starting to put some exciting fundraising plans into action.
There have been plenty of conversations, ideas, introductions and moments where I’ve thought, “Wow, this is actually happening!” 😂
One of the biggest highlights so far has been seeing just how generous and supportive our local community can be. From businesses offering sponsorship and prizes, to friends and connections sharing ideas, making introductions or simply saying, “How can I help?” every little bit makes a difference.
To everyone who has supported me over these first six weeks, thank you. Whether you’ve sponsored, donated, shared a post, attended an event, offered advice or simply cheered me on from the sidelines, I genuinely appreciate it.
And to my amazing sponsors, thank you for believing in me and getting behind this journey. Your support allows me to do so much more and I’m incredibly grateful to have you alongside me.
