Hi, I’m Anthony and I’m thrilled (and maybe just a little nervous) to be taking part in Stars of the Border in support of the Cancer Council.
Family is everything to me. I’ve been with my wife since I was 16, and together we’ve raised two beautiful children (now adults) who spent the best part of their childhood growing up here on the Border. I’ve been part of this beautiful community for the past 9 years, so I might not technically be a local yet, but I honestly wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outdoors, at a restaurant as I love the local dining or cruising on my Harley. At times you may not find me at all, as my wife and I love to travel. I love being around people, and most of all, love a good laugh and a good time.
Career-wise, I’ve spent most of my time in sales management, including 3 years with RV World when I first arrived on the Border, five fantastic years with the team at Wodonga Car World and most recently, rekindling my journey back with the team at RV World.
I’ve always believed in digging deep when it comes to charities, but cancer is a cause especially close to my heart. I’m taking on this journey in honour of my late aunty, Ester, who we sadly lost just over four weeks after her diagnosis back in 2024, at a very young age of 56. Ester was a huge part of the community for more than 30 years, working with Centrelink and in the medical field. I know how many lives she touched and how much joy she brought to people in our community. I trust that everyone who knew her will get behind this cause and help me raise vital funds for the Cancer Council.
This is just the beginning of a journey I plan to pursue for many years to come. Like most families, we’ve had loved one's battle cancer, continue to fight, and sadly, we’ve lost others along the way. That’s why this means so much to our family.
So now it’s time for me to step well outside my comfort zone, have some fun, and swing my two left feet around the dance floor, all for a cause that truly matters.
