Blake Thomas

Blake Thomas is a proud member of Orange Theatre Company, a volunteer‑run organisation that brings high‑quality theatre to Orange and the surrounding region. The company stages three productions each year, ranging from plays to junior musicals and full‑scale musical theatre. For Blake, the best part is the atmosphere , a vibrant, welcoming community that feels like one big family, all connected by a shared passion for the performing arts.

Blake is also fortunate to live out that passion professionally, working at the Orange Civic Theatre, where the arts play a major role in his day‑to‑day life.

Blake has joined Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer to support the Cancer Council and its vital work. He’s also excited to push himself beyond his comfort zone and take on a challenge he never imagined he’d be brave enough to attempt. His greatest strength going into this journey is his determination, he gives his all to everything he does and loves a good challenge.

Despite his performing arts background, Blake admits that dancing is not his strong suit. Choreography takes time to stick, and he rarely dances unless a theatre role requires it — which is infrequent, as he’s usually busy behind the scenes. If he could choose any dream dance partner, though, it would be Taylor Swift.

Born and raised in Orange, Blake has lived here his entire life. He loves the strong sense of community that remains even as the city continues to grow, and he’s also quite fond of the local wine.

Blake has set a fundraising target of $5,000 and is excited to step onto the dancefloor in support of an incredible cause.
