These profound words by Stephen Hawking perfectly encapsulate what the Cancer Council and this dance event mean to me. Sometimes, you have to set aside your own fears and step up for something bigger than yourself. After years of being invited to participate in this incredible fundraiser, I’ve finally decided that this is the year I’ll take the plunge and raise funds for a cause that is close to my heart. After a challenging year filled with personal losses, it's time for me to step up and bring awareness to an organization that provides such amazing support and assistance. Learning to dance and performing on stage will be a whole new experience—certainly different from my usual time spent in the kitchen. But I’m excited to step out of my comfort zone, raise money for the Cancer Council, and embrace the new experiences that come along with this journey.
