Stars of Newcastle 2025

Julianne Christopher

Julianne Christopher is a passionate advocate for regional growth through racing, tourism, and collaboration. With a career spanning executive leadership, marketing, and sponsorship, including nearly a decade with Thoroughbred Breeders NSW, she now leads corporate partnerships and community engagement at Newcastle Jockey Club. Renowned for connecting people and driving strategic outcomes, Julianne is also deeply committed to volunteering and charity work. Her love of horses began on a family farm, and she now finds joy in sailing and exploring the Hunter with her two daughters. Her work and life reflect a genuine love for community, storytelling, and creating shared success.

Cancer has touched her life in the most personal and painful ways. Julianne lost her beautiful mum to brain cancer in 2017, a loss that changed her forever. This year, she also said goodbye to her nan and uncle, both of whom faced their own battles with cancer.

Being involved in Stars of Newcastle is Julianne’s way of honouring them, celebrating their strength, their love, and the legacy they left behind. This cause is close to her heart and aligns with everything she values: family, community, and doing what she can to support others facing the same fight.

Let's Race to the 2025 Dance for Cancer!

I'm incredibly honored (and a little nervous!) to share that I’ve been selected as the Wildcard Dancer for the 2025 Cancer Council Stars of Newcastle 🌟
This cause is deeply personal to me. I lost my beautiful mum to brain cancer in 2017, and more recently my nan and uncle. Being part of this event is my way of honouring their memory and supporting others in their battle with cancer.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll be training in the Showgirl dance style with the amazing Leesa Os from The Tribe Collective Newcastle every step will be dedicated to the people we love and the lives we've lost.
If you'd like to support my fundraising, here are a few ways you can help:
💛 Donate directly to my fundraising page:
🏇 Sponsor a race or 🍽️ Book a table at the 'Stars of Newcastle Race' Day on Saturday 23rd August at Newcastle Racecourse:
Your support — in any form — means the world to so many. Together, we can make a meaningful difference for those battling cancer and for the families walking alongside them 💛
