A proud born-and-raised Novocastrian, I live with my partner of 19 years and our 12-year-old son. My passions are deeply rooted in my community, whether I'm playing cricket, coaching my son's soccer team, or spending weekends at local markets, having open conversations about mental health and suicide prevention.
I am a passionate advocate for accessible mental health support, a belief shaped by my own lived experience. I navigate life with Bipolar II, am four years sober, and have experienced the devastating impact of suicide firsthand. It is my purpose to share this journey to empower others, to let them know they are worthy, and that recovery is not just possible—it is an incredible reality. Four years ago, I was in active addiction; now, I'm taking the stage for Stars of Newcastle. This is my proof that with the right support, we can achieve our dreams and live a life of purpose.
Why I'm Dancing
I am taking part in Stars of Newcastle to raise vital funds for cancer research and to support those facing challenges in our local community. I am passionate about raising awareness around mental health and suicide prevention, reminding people that they are never alone. My mission is to show that with the right support, we can all move beyond just surviving and truly thrive.
